(For those unfamiliar with Sailor Moon, Mako is a nickname for Matoko Kino. This story fits well with both the manga/anime and the live-action show.)
Makoto Kino is sitting on a bench waiting for Usagi and her friends. Suddenly, the voice of a girl with long jet-black hair with silver highlights speaks to Mako.
"Hi. Can I sit with you?"
"Sure. Are you waiting for someone?"
"No, but I've been walking for a long time. My legs need a rest."
The girl sits down next to Mako. Mako introduces herself and the girl reveals that her name is also Makoto, Makoto Saotome.
"Well, I guess you can call me Kino."
"Saotome for me, then."
The two girls laugh and they talk about different things. Kino likes Saotome. She finds this girl cute, friendly and interesting. Of course, Kino couldn't guess that Saotome is a transgender girl because she was born a boy. One day, if Saotome and Kino become close friends, she'll probably tell her about it. Suddenly, Kino hears Ami's voice calling her.
"Ah, my friends are here."
"I'd better go, in that case. See you, Kino!"
"Goodbye, Saotome."
Saotome leaves and Mako sees Ami coming. With her are Rei and Minako.
"Where's Usagi?" Makoto asks the girls.
"That idiot must have gotten lost along the way." Says Rei.
"Don't say that." Retorts Ami.
"I'll go look for her." Says Minako.
"Let's go together." Mako suggests.
Therefore, the friends go to look for Usagi. Mako takes the opportunity to tell them about the other Makoto. Makoto Saotome. She hopes to see her again.
